The KinderKookKafé in Amsterdam is a restaurant where the kids cook a big dinner for their parents. Kids are dropped off at 3:30 and prepare whatever is on the menu (we made meatballs, deviled eggs, potatoes, salad, and ice cream). Parents arrive at six and then the kids serve the meal and take drink orders. Sometimes television stations do programs on this restaurant, so if you do not like to be on TV, you should make sure they are not interviewing. I was there one of the times they were, and since I am American they had the camera on me almost the whole time (check out the show if you want...it will be on Discovery Travel this July. E-mail me for exact dates and times). I think this is an interesting place because you get to work in a restaurant and prepare a WHOLE meal. Highly recommended.
