Madurodam is a miniature city that has all the main sights of Holland and was built for somebody's son who died in a concentration camp in World War II. At some points in the museum there are coin boxes where 10 Dutch cents makes something move, so make sure to bring lots of change! An interesting fact is that the model train layout runs for 2.485 miles and there are 12 trains and 2 trams (I know this because I love trains). You might also be interested to know that it would cost one million guilders (500,000 dollars) to fix one model alone!!!!!!!! Also, their workshop is directly in the museum so that if anything breaks down they can fix it immediately. This is my favorite museum I have been to because of everything, but mainly because of the trains. I highly recommend it! Don't miss it!
